Analytics Engineer

Pluralsight

I’m an Analytics Engineer at Pluralsight with a passion for building data products that empower teams to make better decisions. I specialize in designing dimensional models, building scalable data pipelines with dbt and SQL, and creating self-service analytics platforms that turn complex data into actionable insights.

My path to analytics engineering came through academia—I have an M.A. in Political Science with a focus on statistical methods and spent years teaching data science at Georgetown University. While I ultimately chose to leave my doctoral program, that academic foundation gave me deep expertise in statistical modeling, research design, and translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Today, I combine that analytical rigor with modern data engineering practices. I love the challenge of architecting data systems that are both technically sound and genuinely useful to stakeholders. When I’m not building data models or optimizing SQL queries, I’m spending time with family and friends in Charlotte.

Core expertise: SQL, dbt, dimensional modeling, Python, Snowflake, data warehouse design, statistical analysis
